HOW we MET
We were both living in Seattle - Will working in hospitality and me as a designer. It wasn’t long before I found myself having dinner at Will’s restaurant. In the company of friends (at table 32, spot A - as Will likes to add), we introduced ourselves. The following week we went on two back-to-back dates. With Archer’s approval, the rest was history.

A few months after dating, we took a trip to The Gorge, to see a show and camp with some friends. After the weekend, seeing great music together, I couldn’t wait to fill my life with moments like that with Whit.

The PROPOSAL
I planned to propose to Whitney after Archer (our husky) recovered from his first ACL surgery. I decided February would be a good time to drop the knee in Lake Geneva. With plans in motion and the proper folks notified, I discovered it was going to be 13 degrees on the proposal day. Regardless, I kept plans as they were. We walked out to our favorite spot on the lake with Archer and I mustered a few words before getting down and asking Whitney for her hand.
After she said yes, we popped a bottle of champagne hidden in the snow and took some photos with two brave friends, who hid behind trees to capture the moment. We had a few sips before Whitney politely asked, between shivers, if we could finish our champagne in the warmth of the car.

I’ll never forget the night we met, Will running food in his busy restaurant and managing a room of people. The second we made eye contact across the room, I had a feeling something big was about to unfold.
